The city of Beaufort, North Carolina, home to Preston Development’s 300 acre project site, Beaufort East Village, has won the title of Coolest Small Town In America, awarded by Budget Travel. With 647 towns nominated nationwide, Beaufort tied for first place, winning with Hammondsport, NY. The seaside community of less than 4,500 sits on North Carolina’s Southern Outer Banks and is historical and charming in equal measures.
